Thank you to everyone that came out to Solarfest this year and visited us. We had a fantastic time. We spoke with over 150 Vermonters and visitors concerned about appropriate renewable energy development. The vast majority felt strongly we have to develop renewable energy in the most responsible ways possible.
Last December Chris Braithwaite, a reporter and publisher at the Barton Chronicle was arrested at the Lowell wind power site. His arrest came at the same time six Vermonters protesting the project were arrested.
Over 100 Vermonters packed into a small community room Monday night in Grafton to discuss the proposed Iberdrola wind project slated for the nearby ridgeline. The meeting included a presentation by Ben Luce and a panel of Vermonters with first hand experience living near the Lowell wind project.
