Reposted from Rutland Herald.   A local environmental group, Vermonters for a Clean Environment, filed a complaint in U.S. District Court asking that the U.S. Forest Service be prohibited from issuing a special permit for the construction of an electricity generation plant using 15 wind turbines in Readsboro and Searsburg.

The struggle over wind project proposals started again this week in Newark, VT. Out of state firm Eolian Renewables, in partnership with foreign turbine manufacturer Nordex, is proposing to build a project covering three towns, with 35 turbines, roughly twice the size of the Lowell project.
