What’s it like to live near a wind turbine?

Energize Vermont will be posting videos of turbine neighbors describing life near industrial wind projects.

Sam Mason lives less than a mile from Green Mountain Power’s Lowell turbines. Here he is telling Vermont’s Public Service Board about the impacts that the turbines have had on his young two sons.

Reggie Johnson lives .62 miles from David Blittersdorf’s Georgia Mountain turbines. He says, “It’s been hell here.”

Sandy Waterman lives less than a mile from Green Mountain Power’s turbines in Lowell, Vermont. Energy developers told her the turbines would be quiet. “I was lied to.”

Luann Therrien abandoned her home 3/4 of a mile from Vermont Wind’s Sheffield Turbines. “It’s hell living in the shadow of a turbine.”

Matt Parisi lives less than a mile from David Blittersdorf’s Georgia Mountain turbines. His son moved out of the house because of the noise from the  turbines.
