Sad Truth: Fighting for Change Takes Money

Will you support us this year?

This year in Vermont brought the threat of more big wind projects, a disruptive pipeline, acres of poorly sited solar, and a deeply broken PSB process. When will we gain control over an ad-hoc energy policy? When will Vermonters have control in selecting the solutions that benefit her communities and environment?

We’re not sure.

We are one of very few organizations fighting for common-sense energy solutions. This year, we’ve seen our analyses published in some of Vermont’s top media outlets, including the Burlington Free Press, VTDigger, Rutland Herald, and the Times Argus. We’ve continued to push the PSB for better standards, we’ve advocated at the State House, and we’ve fought against corporations looking to hoodwink Vermonters into giving up their energy future.

One things for sure: We are not giving up.

This will be a critical year at the State House. We want to be there. We want to keep pushing for common-sense energy solutions. We want to keep advancing residential and community-scale renewables. We want to continue to show corporations that Vermont’s energy future isn’t for runaway profits for the few, but instead for the benefit of all.

But we can’t do it without money.

Raising money for these efforts is hard. Will you support us this year? Will you help us continue this fight?

Please don’t let big business and greed define Vermont’s energy future.

Let’s fight for energy solutions that bring Vermonters together. Donations can be made online or via check.
