POULTNEY — The internationally acclaimed author, entrepreneur and energy expert Steven Strong will present his talk “Renewable Energy: Building the Bridge to the Post-Petroleum World” at Green Mountain College on Oct. 13. The presentation, cosponsored by renewable energy nonprofit Energize Vermont, will be held at the Gorge in Withey Hall at 6 to 8 p.m.

With a background in architecture and engineering, several of Strong’s projects include the world’s first fully solar private residence, the first solar-powered U.S. Embassy, and the first solar-powered Olympic facilities at the 1996 Atlanta games.
